Triggered campaign
Also called: behavioural trigger, event-triggered message
A triggered campaign is a message sent in response to something a person did or failed to do — browsing a category, abandoning a basket, letting a subscription lapse — rather than on a calendar date. These earn far more revenue per send than broadcasts because the timing and context are already relevant. The usual failures are timing and suppression: firing before the data has landed, or continuing to chase someone who has already bought.
