Marketing mix modelling

Also called: MMM, media mix modelling

Marketing mix modelling is a statistical technique that relates aggregate sales over time to spend by channel, alongside outside factors such as price, seasonality and promotions. It appeals to teams because it needs no user-level tracking, so it survives cookie loss and mobile privacy changes. It answers budget-allocation questions rather than campaign ones, wants a few years of weekly history before the estimates settle, and should be checked against experiments wherever you can run them.
