Customer journey
Also called: journey map, journey orchestration
A customer journey is the sequence of steps a person takes with a brand, from first contact through purchase, repeat and lapse, including the parts that happen outside your own channels. Mapping it shows where people drop out and which of those moments a message can realistically change. The common mistake is drawing the journey the business wishes people took rather than the one the data shows, then automating that fiction. Build it from observed behaviour and service contacts.
